Part 1: eBusiness Strategy
One of the biggest benefits of the Internet is its ability to allow organizations to perform business with anyone, anywhere, anytime. Conducting business using technologies of the Internet is called eBusiness, and consists of not only buying and selling, but also serving customers and collaborating with business partners. Over the past decade, eBusiness seems to have permeated every aspect of daily life. Both individuals and organizations have embraced Internet technologies to enhance productivity, maximize convenience, and improve communications globally. From banking to shopping to entertainment, the Internet has become integral to daily life.
Early on, CEO Janet Cash knew the company needed to explore online ordering for the bike line (eCommerce), but she also knows there are probably other ways AdventureWorks could benefit from the broader area of eBusiness. She is a bit concerned over potential channel conflict if they sell direct.
Help Janet develop an eBusiness strategy to complement the foundation growth strategy she had you work on earlier. Specifically, discuss the many e-business strategies that AdventureWorks could use to increase revenue. Be sure to consider different areas of business such as marketing, finance, accounting, sales, customer service, and human resources. Your response should be in business memo format.

Since Janet likes to think AdventureWorks is on the leading edge of any new trend, she asks you as a member of a key demographic to think about how social media could be used to complement or support the other company strategies you’ve worked on this year.
She asks you to put some ideas together in memo format to specifically address the following areas.
a. How could a social media strategy help AdventureWorks attract customers and increase sales or develop a following?
b. What types of social media would be the best investment in terms of time and resources for a business?
c. If the company develops a social media site page that allows comments, and negative things are posted, how should the company respond?
